How fees work
What you pay depends on how you pay. Most of our patients use insurance, and some pay themselves. Each answer is here in plain words, and the front desk goes through yours before your first visit.
Insurance we work with
We bill many kinds of plans and tell you whether we are in network with yours before you book. The list is by type of plan, not by company. Your plan card tells our front desk the rest.
Most commercial plans
Medicare
Medicaid
Workers' compensation
Auto injury coverage
If you pay yourself
If you do not use insurance, you pay on the day of each visit. We tell you the fee before you book and give you a detailed receipt. Ask the front desk if a reduced fee is available.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, we give you a written estimate before your first visit: what we expect to charge and what it covers. If a bill comes in $400 or more above your estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
Checking your benefits
Our front desk checks your benefits and calls you with what they find before your first visit. Your plan has the final say on what it pays, and it sets your copay, deductible and coinsurance.
What the first visit includes
Your first visit is about an hour with a physical therapist. They listen, examine you, explain what they find and agree on a plan with you, including the risks and the choices. We do not decide how many visits you need on day one.
Common questions about paying
Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?
We bill many kinds of plans, including most commercial plans, Medicare, Medicaid, workers' compensation and auto injury coverage. Your plan decides what it pays. We check your benefits and call you before your first visit.
What if I pay myself?
We give you a written estimate before your first visit, and you pay on the day of each visit. If your plan may reimburse you, we give you a detailed receipt to send in. Your plan decides whether it pays.
